Can You Learn Spanish With Your iPhone?

Well, you can have a pretty good go. Obviously years ago you could learn Spanish from a cassette tape and books. Then came along the compact disk (I remember the day well) and learning languages courses shifted to the new popular CD format. Technology is changing and developing every day, but who would have thought you could learn through your phone? Well, now you can, especially if you have an Apple iPhone.

You don’t need to buy a new downloadable Spanish course if you already have one on CD. You canobviously just use iTunes to convert the audio so that you can play it on your iPhone. This will need to be in MP3  format. iTunes has made it easy to do this. You can then learn spanish wherever you are; in the train, the car, at work or even on holiday.

If you don’t have an existing course there are many Learn Spanish applications on the Apple iPhone that you can download from the App Store. 24/7 TUTOR is one that seems to be very popular.

24/7 TUTOR gives you a set of the most common and useful Spanish words and phrases, organised by topic and category. Every phrase has an audio recording. A priority-filter mechanism is provided that allows you to optimise your efforts by focusing on those items that need more practice.

Listening to Spanish will help you improve your listening skills; but you really do need to practice Speaking Spanish to do it properly. Just ten or fifteen minutes every day is all it takes to see a great improvement.

Yeah, you can definitely learn Spanish with your iPod. The best software programs out there will allow you to download lessons to your iPod or other MP3 player.

Personally, I don’t think that you should expect to learn Spanish just by listening to some audio files though. You need to immerse yourself in the process of learning. This means taking classes and/or getting a good software program, studying every day and focusing not only on listening, but speaking. Proper pronunciation is key.

    Hey, my name is Ted

I just joined Thrive Learning and I really enjoy the online training courses. I’m taking the real estate and wealth management classes and I like being able to plan my schedule the way it works best for me.

I am learning a lot about ecommerce. Saw something cool about Thrive and eBay as well as the eLibrary stuff they have available via Thrive Institute’s online courses. Are there any other Thrive Learning students in the Chicago area?
